Nottinghamshire County Council in Rushcliffe

Rushcliffe contains nine County Council districts out of the total of 56 across the county of Nottinghamshire. We currently have one county councillor in Rushcliffe, Cllr Penny Gowland, who represents West Bridgford North.

The Nottinghamshire County Council Labour Group is the main opposition, comprised of 15 Councillors, lead by Councillor Kate Foal.

At the 2021 elections Rushcliffe Labour contested the seats detailed below.

Cllr Liz Plant

Former County Councillor for West Bridgford North (Retired)

A former head teacher and Rushcliffe Borough Councillor, Liz has taken an active role in the council as a member of the Children and Young People’s Committee, Communities and Place Review and Development Committee, and Health Scrutiny Committee.

Cllr Plant was first elected to the county council in 2013 and has decided to stand down in 2021, supporting Penny Gowland in West Bridgford North.
