The “Spotlight On…” series gives members a platform to draw attention to good causes and opportunities to get involved in our community.


The Victoria Repair Café, was established in March 2019 as part of a drive to live a simpler life, be in solidarity with people in poverty and to protect our planet. We hold a Café four times a year on Saturday mornings in the Church of the Holy Spirit social centre, Victoria Road, West Bridgford.

Repair Cafés are places where people can bring their broken items to be fixed on the spot with the help of volunteer repairers. This teaches people to see their possessions in a new light and appreciate their value. Repair Cafés help to change people’s mindset, and this is essential to kindle their enthusiasm for a sustainable society.
