Rushcliffe Borough Council marks Armed Forces Day, a nationwide celebration to honour the work of the UK Armed Forces, past and present.
Today – we had the raising of the flag for the week – with numerous activities planned to celebrate the fantastic work of our Armed Forces. We also were present at the unveiling of a lovely seating area outside the Arena this morning.
The trefoil seat is in rememberance of the people of this borough, who at their country’s call, left all that was dear to them to hazard their lives that we might live in freedom.

The week of celebrations will culminate in Saturday’s Proms in the Park at Bridgford Park in West Bridgford on Saturday 29th June.
